Nolan

John Nolan is my great grandfathers 6.
He came from County Carlow, Ireland
Some stories I have heard say that he and a brother William, both teenagers snuck in a passenger ship heading to the states
When discovered,a gentleman from Maryland paid their fair if they agreed to work for him as indentured servants for 7 years
John fought in the revolutionary war and never drew a pension because apparently the land in Maryland he inherited from the man who paid his fair to United States
John’s military records are accessible
He wound up at the end of his life in Harlan County Ky in Bledsoe Cemetery.
John’s son Joseph fought in the war of 1812
Joseph’s son, Joseph Jr. fought on the Union side in the Civil war
Joseph Jr had a daughter named Sarah Elizabeth or Bettie
Sarah Elizabeth had a son named Lewis Macdonald Nolan, my great great grandfather
Lewis had a daughter named Lula, my grandmother
Lula and her husband, Albert Menshouse third generation German, had a daughter named Pauline, my mother.
She married Charles James Davis and had 8 children together
I am 7th of the 8 children
My name is Cindy Davis-Stilt.
Please let me know if any of the names I have listed are also listed in your Nolan family tree
Thank you so much
